Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Christies in London held the auction Russian Pictures Including Post-War and Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work A Queen and her knight by Sergei Petrovich Ivanov. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,743.11) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sergei Petrovich Ivanov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of two young girls with dolls in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 31,700.00 (€ 44,388.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Pictures Including Post-War and Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Queen and her knight von Sergei Petrovich Ivanov zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.743,11) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergei Petrovich Ivanov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of two young girls with dolls im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.700,00 (€ 44.388,20).
