Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Art of the Soviet Union, which included the work Portrait Of Gorbachev by Semyon Faibisovich. The price achieved of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 59,595.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Semyon Faibisovich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work One More Glance at the Black Sea in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 340,200.00 (€ 405,787.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Art of the Soviet Union durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Gorbachev von Semyon Faibisovich zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 59.595,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Semyon Faibisovich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit One More Glance at the Black Sea im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 340.200,00 (€ 405.787,24).
