Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary East, which included the work New York Subway N2 by Semyon Faibisovich. The price achieved of GBP 72,100.00 (€ 86,762.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Semyon Faibisovich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work One More Glance at the Black Sea in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 340,200.00 (€ 405,787.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary East durch, in der auch die Arbeit New York Subway N2 von Semyon Faibisovich zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 72.100,00 (€ 86.762,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Semyon Faibisovich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit One More Glance at the Black Sea im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 340.200,00 (€ 405.787,24).
