Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Selim Turan was sold in the Contemporary Art / Turkish auction at Sothebys in London in April 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,965.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Selim Turan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 198,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Selim Turan wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art / Turkish bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.965,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Selim Turan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 198.450,00.
