Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Selim Turan was sold in the Contemporary Art/ Turkish auction at Sothebys in London in April 2011. The price achieved of GBP 42,050.00 (€ 47,355.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Selim Turan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 198,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Selim Turan wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art/ Turkish bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 42.050,00 (€ 47.355,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Selim Turan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 198.450,00.
