Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Farmhouse with Grazing Cattle by Selden Connor Gile was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The price achieved of USD 12,800.00 (€ 11,809.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Selden Connor Gile achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Quiet Cove (Belvedere) in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 312,575.00 (€ 279,059.91).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.800,00 (€ 11.809,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Selden Connor Gile erzielen.
