Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction California Art, which included the work Boats in Dry Docks by Selden Connor Gile. The price achieved of USD 19,200.00 (€ 17,601.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Selden Connor Gile achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Quiet Cove (Belvedere) in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 312,575.00 (€ 279,059.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boats in Dry Docks von Selden Connor Gile zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 17.601,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Selden Connor Gile erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Quiet Cove (Belvedere) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.575,00 (€ 279.059,91).
