Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Destination, Marin County by Selden Connor Gile. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 35,840.00 (€ 33,065.78). Admittedly, works by Selden Connor Gile have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Quiet Cove (Belvedere) in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 312,575.00 (€ 279,059.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Destination, Marin County von Selden Connor Gile zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 35.840,00 (€ 33.065,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Selden Connor Gile auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Quiet Cove (Belvedere) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.575,00 (€ 279.059,91).
