Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Bonhams held the auction California Art, which included the work Cows and Purple Hill by Selden Connor Gile. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,351.90), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Selden Connor Gile achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Quiet Cove (Belvedere) in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 312,575.00 (€ 279,059.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cows and Purple Hill von Selden Connor Gile zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.351,90) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Selden Connor Gile erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Quiet Cove (Belvedere) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.575,00 (€ 279.059,91).
