Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Farm Scene (Walnut Creek) by Selden Connor Gile. The price achieved of USD 12,112.50 (€ 11,495.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Selden Connor Gile achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Quiet Cove (Belvedere) in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 312,575.00 (€ 279,059.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Farm Scene (Walnut Creek) von Selden Connor Gile zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.112,50 (€ 11.495,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Selden Connor Gile erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Quiet Cove (Belvedere) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.575,00 (€ 279.059,91).
