The work China Beach by Selden Connor Gile was sold in the California and Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2020. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,825.00 (€ 19,960.62), 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Selden Connor Gile achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Quiet Cove (Belvedere) in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 312,575.00 (€ 279,059.91).

Die Arbeit China Beach von Selden Connor Gile wurde im August 2020 in der Auktion California and Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 23.825,00 (€ 19.960,62) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Selden Connor Gile erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Quiet Cove (Belvedere) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.575,00 (€ 279.059,91).
