Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,376.00 (€ 5,087.06). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sebastião Salgado achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Serra Pelada, Gold Mine, Brazil' in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 104,738.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Coal Mining, Dhanbad, India von Sebastião Salgado kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.376,00 (€ 5.087,06) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sebastião Salgado erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Serra Pelada, Gold Mine, Brazil' im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 104.738,15).
