Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Riders From The Sea by Sean Crampton was sold in the 20th Century British and Irish Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in November 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,920.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Sean Crampton have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2006 the work Bachelors Of Avebury was auctioned for GBP 4,080.00 (€ 6,058.93).
