A top price for Sean Crampton - as previously expected
In November 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British and Irish Art, which included the work Bachelors Of Avebury by Sean Crampton. The price achieved of GBP 4,080.00 (€ 6,058.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Bachelors Of Avebury is the most expensive artwork by Sean Crampton that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bachelors Of Avebury von Sean Crampton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 6.058,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Bachelors Of Avebury das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sean Crampton, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
