Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Girl With Two Geese by Sean Crampton was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,561.48). Other works by Sean Crampton have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2006 by the work Bachelors Of Avebury at GBP 4,080.00 (€ 6,058.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Girl With Two Geese von Sean Crampton im Juni 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.561,48) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Sean Crampton wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2006 die Arbeit Bachelors Of Avebury mit GBP 4.080,00 (€ 6.058,93).
