Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boats by Seah Kim Joo was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. The price achieved of HKD 13,750.00 (€ 1,565.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Seah Kim Joo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boat Quay (Cityscape) in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,381.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boats von Seah Kim Joo kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 13.750,00 (€ 1.565,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Seah Kim Joo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boat Quay (Cityscape) im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 12.381,95).
