Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Christies in Milan held the auction Milan Modern and Contemporary, which included the work La Ciociara by Scipione. The price achieved of EUR 57,900.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Scipione - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Il profeta in vista di Gerusalemme, which sold at auction in May 2008 for EUR 170,300.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Milan Modern and Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Ciociara von Scipione zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 57.900,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Scipione mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Il profeta in vista di Gerusalemme beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für EUR 170.300,00 versteigert wurde.
