This artwork by Sara Flynn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2018. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Line Vessel sold for GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,667.43) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sara Flynn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A pair of unfolding vessels, which sold at auction in May last year for GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,893.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sara Flynn erzielte im September 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Line Vessel für GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.667,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sara Flynn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A pair of unfolding vessels beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.893,62) versteigert wurde.
