Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hiring and arrangement of 30 workers in relation to their skin colour by Santiago Sierra was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2014. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,781.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Santiago Sierra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 3000 Huecos (3000 Hollows) in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 23,125.00 (€ 27,036.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hiring and arrangement of 30 workers in relation to their skin colour von Santiago Sierra kam im April 2014 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.781,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Santiago Sierra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 3000 Huecos (3000 Hollows) im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.125,00 (€ 27.036,88).
