The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,401.82), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sandy Skoglund have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Green House, 1990 in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 46,411.86).

Die Arbeit Raining Popcorn von Sandy Skoglund wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion Artist | Icon | Inspiration: Women in Photography Presented with Peter Fetterman bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.401,82) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sandy Skoglund auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Green House, 1990 im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 46.411,86).
