In August 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Charles Bridge, Prague by Samuel Prout. The result of GBP 600.00 (€ 756.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Prout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Arch of St Mark'S, Venice, With Figures In Oriental Costume In The Foreground; And The Arch of Constantine, Rome in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,684.44).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im August 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Charles Bridge, Prague von Samuel Prout zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 600,00 (€ 756,75) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel Prout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Arch of St Mark'S, Venice, With Figures In Oriental Costume In The Foreground; And The Arch of Constantine, Rome im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.684,44).
