In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction SPORTING ART AND DOGS, which included the work The Best of Friends by Samuel Fulton. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,450.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Samuel Fulton have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2006 the work Collie was auctioned for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,446.80).
