Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The African Hog; and The Klip-Springer, from African Scenery and Animals (Abbey Travel 321, nos. 23,29) by Samuel Daniell was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 312.00 (€ 457.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Daniell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work African Scenery And Animals (Abbey Travel 321, Nos. 1-18, 20-32) in April 2013 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,175.94).

Die Arbeit The African Hog; and The Klip-Springer, from African Scenery and Animals (Abbey Travel 321, nos. 23,29) von Samuel Daniell kam im September 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
