Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Samir Sayegh could be acquired at Bonhams in September this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online auction, the work Hiya (May-Emerald) changed hands for GBP 288.00 (€ 288.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samir Sayegh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Noon in March last year with an auction result of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,408.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Samir Sayegh konnte im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Hiya (May-Emerald) für GBP 288,00 (€ 288,00) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samir Sayegh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Noon im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.408,08).
