Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Alef by Samir Sayegh was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,457.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Samir Sayegh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Noon, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,408.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Alef von Samir Sayegh kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.457,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Samir Sayegh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Noon beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.408,08) versteigert wurde.
