The work Baraka by Samir Sayegh was sold in the Middle Eastern Art Online Sale auction at Bonhams in London in February last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,573.03), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Samir Sayegh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Noon in March last year with an auction result of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,408.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Baraka von Samir Sayegh wurde im Februar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Middle Eastern Art Online Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.573,03) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samir Sayegh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Noon im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.408,08).
