Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Not Yet Titled by Samara Scott was auctioned at Phillips in London in December 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,254.37). Admittedly, works by Samara Scott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,916.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Not Yet Titled von Samara Scott im Dezember 2021 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.254,37) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samara Scott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.916,33).
