Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A choppy sea with boats and a tower on a spit of land by Salomon van Ruysdael was sold in the Old Masters auction at Christies in New York in October 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 187,500.00 (€ 160,985.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salomon van Ruysdael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wijdschip And Other Small Dutch Vessels At The Mouth Of An Estuary in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,725,420.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A choppy sea with boats and a tower on a spit of land von Salomon van Ruysdael wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Old Masters bei Christies in New York versteigert.
