Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A river landscape, with figures in boats casting a fishing net 38.2cm (15 1/16in). diameter by Salomon van Ruysdael was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Bonhams in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 25,600.00 (€ 29,867.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salomon van Ruysdael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wijdschip And Other Small Dutch Vessels At The Mouth Of An Estuary in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,725,420.73).

Die Arbeit A river landscape, with figures in boats casting a fishing net 38.2cm (15 1/16in). diameter von Salomon van Ruysdael wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.600,00 (€ 29.867,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salomon van Ruysdael erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wijdschip And Other Small Dutch Vessels At The Mouth Of An Estuary im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.077.000,00 (€ 2.725.420,73).
