Sold at the lower estimate price
The work River landscape with fishermen, figures and boats by Salomon van Ruysdael was sold in the Important Winter Sale auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2021. The result of SEK 400,000.00 (€ 39,017.49) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salomon van Ruysdael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wijdschip And Other Small Dutch Vessels At The Mouth Of An Estuary in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,725,420.73).
