Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishermen on the beach at Egmond-aan-Zee, with boats, figures and their catch on the shore by Salomon van Ruysdael was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 252,000.00 (€ 300,583.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Salomon van Ruysdael have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wijdschip And Other Small Dutch Vessels At The Mouth Of An Estuary in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,725,420.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fishermen on the beach at Egmond-aan-Zee, with boats, figures and their catch on the shore von Salomon van Ruysdael wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 252.000,00 (€ 300.583,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Salomon van Ruysdael auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wijdschip And Other Small Dutch Vessels At The Mouth Of An Estuary im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.077.000,00 (€ 2.725.420,73).
