Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in New York held the auction PhotographsSummer Cut, which included the work Untitled, from the series "At Twelve" by Sally Mann. The price achieved of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,546.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sally Mann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Candy Cigarette in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 257,000.00 (€ 205,107.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion PhotographsSummer Cut durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, from the series "At Twelve" von Sally Mann zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.546,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sally Mann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Candy Cigarette im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 257.000,00 (€ 205.107,74).
