Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (View of Lebanon) by Saliba Douaihy was sold in the Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in March 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 81,250.00 (€ 75,948.78). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Saliba Douaihy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 336,500.00 (€ 288,346.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (View of Lebanon) von Saliba Douaihy wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 81.250,00 (€ 75.948,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Saliba Douaihy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 336.500,00 (€ 288.346,19) versteigert wurde.
