Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ehden Village, Lebanese House by Saliba Douaihy was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2018. The price achieved of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,553.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 24,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Saliba Douaihy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 336,500.00 (€ 288,346.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ehden Village, Lebanese House von Saliba Douaihy kam im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.553,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 24.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Saliba Douaihy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 336.500,00 (€ 288.346,19).
