Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Green between Crimson, Yellow and Blue by Saliba Douaihy was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 63,900.00 (€ 74,046.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Saliba Douaihy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 336,500.00 (€ 288,346.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Green between Crimson, Yellow and Blue von Saliba Douaihy kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 63.900,00 (€ 74.046,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Saliba Douaihy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 336.500,00 (€ 288.346,19) versteigert wurde.
