Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sakti Burman could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work It Is All An Ecstasy; Krishna And Hanuman changed hands for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,245.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sakti Burman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rêve de Maya (Maya's Dream) in September this year with an auction result of USD 170,100.00 (€ 160,714.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sakti Burman konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit It Is All An Ecstasy; Krishna And Hanuman für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 5.245,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sakti Burman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rêve de Maya (Maya's Dream) im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.100,00 (€ 160.714,29).
