Sold at the lower estimate price
In October 2016 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Sabhan Adam. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,561.21) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sabhan Adam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2008 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,741.68).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sabhan Adam zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.561,21) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sabhan Adam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.741,68) versteigert wurde.
