Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Robed Figure in Hat by Sabhan Adam for GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,109.66). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Sabhan Adam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,741.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Robed Figure in Hat von Sabhan Adam für GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.109,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sabhan Adam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.741,68).
