Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by S. Sudjojono could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in November last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction, the work The Indestructible Desert changed hands for HKD 4,800,000.00 (€ 595,640.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 5,000,000.00 – 8,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by S. Sudjojono have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pasukan Kita Yang Dipimpin Pangeran Diponegoro (Our Soldiers Led Under Prince Diponegoro) in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 58,360,000.00 (€ 5,427,858.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von S. Sudjojono konnte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale wechselte die Arbeit The Indestructible Desert für HKD 4.800.000,00 (€ 595.640,80) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 5.000.000,00 – 8.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von S. Sudjojono auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pasukan Kita Yang Dipimpin Pangeran Diponegoro (Our Soldiers Led Under Prince Diponegoro) im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 58.360.000,00 (€ 5.427.858,69).
