In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session, which included the work Boekit si Goentang by S. Sudjojono. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 812,500.00 (€ 94,234.96), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by S. Sudjojono achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pasukan Kita Yang Dipimpin Pangeran Diponegoro (Our Soldiers Led Under Prince Diponegoro) in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 58,360,000.00 (€ 5,427,858.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boekit si Goentang von S. Sudjojono zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 94.234,96) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von S. Sudjojono erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pasukan Kita Yang Dipimpin Pangeran Diponegoro (Our Soldiers Led Under Prince Diponegoro) im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 58.360.000,00 (€ 5.427.858,69).
