Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rico Cucu Saya Mau Bobo by S. Sudjojono was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 387,500.00 (€ 42,455.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by S. Sudjojono achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pasukan Kita Yang Dipimpin Pangeran Diponegoro (Our Soldiers Led Under Prince Diponegoro) in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 58,360,000.00 (€ 5,427,858.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rico Cucu Saya Mau Bobo von S. Sudjojono kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 387.500,00 (€ 42.455,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von S. Sudjojono erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pasukan Kita Yang Dipimpin Pangeran Diponegoro (Our Soldiers Led Under Prince Diponegoro) im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 58.360.000,00 (€ 5.427.858,69).
