The work Boats by S. Sudjojono was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. It achieved a price of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 123,258.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by S. Sudjojono achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pasukan Kita Yang Dipimpin Pangeran Diponegoro (Our Soldiers Led Under Prince Diponegoro) in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 58,360,000.00 (€ 5,427,858.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Boats von S. Sudjojono kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 123.258,88) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von S. Sudjojono erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pasukan Kita Yang Dipimpin Pangeran Diponegoro (Our Soldiers Led Under Prince Diponegoro) im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 58.360.000,00 (€ 5.427.858,69).
