Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ryoji Suzuki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. In the Asian Contemporary Art auction, the work Person Who Wants; Screw Bar & Simofuri sold for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 8,195.47) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 36,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ryoji Suzuki have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Underwear in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 427,500.00 (€ 35,194.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ryoji Suzuki erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Person Who Wants; Screw Bar & Simofuri für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 8.195,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 36.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryoji Suzuki auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Underwear im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 427.500,00 (€ 35.194,57).
