This artwork by Ryoji Suzuki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Glass Princess & Camellia Sasanqua sold for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 9,776.27) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryoji Suzuki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Underwear, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 427,500.00 (€ 35,194.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ryoji Suzuki erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Glass Princess & Camellia Sasanqua für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 9.776,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryoji Suzuki mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Underwear beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 427.500,00 (€ 35.194,57) versteigert wurde.
