The work Hot Spring by Ryoji Suzuki was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. It achieved a price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 13,901.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryoji Suzuki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Underwear, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 427,500.00 (€ 35,194.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hot Spring von Ryoji Suzuki kam im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 13.901,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryoji Suzuki mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Underwear beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 427.500,00 (€ 35.194,57) versteigert wurde.
