Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in New York held the auction PhotographsSummer Cut, which included the work American Girl in Florence, Italy, contact sheet by Ruth Orkin. The price achieved of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,520.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruth Orkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work American Girl in Florence, Italy in February 2021 with an auction result of USD 52,812.50 (€ 43,671.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion PhotographsSummer Cut durch, in der auch die Arbeit American Girl in Florence, Italy, contact sheet von Ruth Orkin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.520,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruth Orkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit American Girl in Florence, Italy im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.812,50 (€ 43.671,96).
