Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction The Gift of Photographs, which included the work Hips Horizontal by Ruth Bernhard. The price achieved of USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,689.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,800.00 – 2,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruth Bernhard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Ruth Bernhard' in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,573.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Gift of Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hips Horizontal von Ruth Bernhard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.689,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.800,00 – 2.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruth Bernhard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Ruth Bernhard' im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.573,68).
