Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Australian Figure In Ruined Building by Russell Drysdale was sold in the The Ken and Rona Eastaugh Collection auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in May 2009. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 1,560.00 (€ 882.70). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Russell Drysdale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian rocky Mccormack in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 1,890,000.00 (€ 1,103,283.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Australian Figure In Ruined Building von Russell Drysdale wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion The Ken and Rona Eastaugh Collection bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 1.560,00 (€ 882,70) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Russell Drysdale erzielen.
