In July this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Green Light for Go by Ruskin Spear. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,944.00 (€ 3,434.76), 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruskin Spear achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Arty Tie in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 48,032.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Green Light for Go von Ruskin Spear zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.944,00 (€ 3.434,76) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruskin Spear erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Arty Tie im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.460,00 (€ 48.032,33).
