In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work "The Life Class" - After Thomas Rowlandson by Ruskin Spear. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,799.73), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ruskin Spear have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Arty Tie in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 48,032.33).

Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit "The Life Class" - After Thomas Rowlandson von Ruskin Spear zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.799,73) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ruskin Spear auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Arty Tie im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.460,00 (€ 48.032,33).
